All game servers, the website, and Mumble server will be down during this time. The maintenance includes switching over to CentOS, switching the web server from Apache to Nginx, and reassigning which computer holds the database server for security purposes. This process will take an undetermined amount of time, but servers may start re-appearing within a few hours. Sorry for any inconvenience! There should be no real visible changes to the game servers hosted, but the website should be more responsive in-theory. As for why the sudden restructure; upon updating the computers to Fedora 23, TrinityCore was misbehaving and ran into two separate issues (one preventing the use of Clang, and the other crashing the server upon command execution). Duel reset logic has been improved Thaddius in Naxxramas has had his script rewritten and improved Notes: An embarrassing mistake was made on the update script for the WoW server upon redeployment, which means updates weren't actually being applied for a few days; this has been fixed and confirmed working now The webserver is now using nginx and sites are being redeployed slowly Site links have changed and additional subdomains are now in-use; more details on this will arrive later Site certificates are being sorted out, but for now it looks like the main site will use Let's Encrypt, and subdomains will use StartSSL until said domains become whitelisted The security of the webserver has been hardened even further along with supporting newer standards Anyone attempting to view the website with a browser/platform that doesn't support the new cipher protocols in-use will be unable to do so Outdated browsers include Android versions below version 4.4.2, Internet Explorer versions below 11, and Safari versions below 7 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
